Ashley has been with our team for 10 years and has championed our vision for better health outcomes in southern Colorado, connecting residents to the resources they need to be their best in mind, body and spirit. Her leadership and passion for community have led to tremendous growth in our wellness programming, and we are grateful for the dedication she has in carrying on our founder’s legacy.

The El Pomar Foundation recognized Mt. Carmel Wellness & Community Center with their Spotlight Award for Excellence!

Since 1989, the El Pomar Foundation has celebrated individuals and organizations throughout the state who serve their communities with distinction. This year, Mt. Carmel Wellness & Community Center was honored as a Spotlight Award for Excellence recipient for their dedication to improving the health and well-being of Southern Colorado residents, which you can read more about here. As an honoree, Mt. Carmel also received a $30,000 grant to support its operations. Congratulations Mt. Carmel team!


Sister Blandina Wellness Gardens

As of July 2024, Sister Blandina Wellness Gardens will be open to the public apart from private and special events.

Hours of Operation:
Tuesday - Friday: 10:00 am - 5:00 pm
Saturday & Sunday: 10:00 am - 6:00 pm

For the safety of our visitors, Sister Blandina Wellness Gardens are monitored by 24/7 security service.
To preserve the Gardens, no pets or smoking are allowed. We appreciate your understanding.

Saturday, March 8, 2025 is International Women’s Day!

In recognition of this day, we celebrate Sister Blandina, the namesake of the Sister Blandina Wellness Gardens in Trinidad, CO.

Did you know Sister Blandina Segale played a pivotal role in shaping the City of Trinidad?

Sister Blandina established Colorado's first school district, advocated for women's and children's rights, and fought for the fair treatment of Hispanics and Native Americans.

The Gardens will reopen for the season on April 1, 2025!

NON-DENOMINATIONAL CHAPEL

Experience the beauty of our historic chapel. The non-denominational chapel lends itself to both a venue for spiritual activities, including weddings, or as a theatre for both live and video performances.

COMMUNITY EVENTS

Mt. Carmel hosts a variety of annual community events. Visitors and vendors - join us for Bingo, concerts, festivals and markets.
